Experience the big cats in the dark of night with a fun night-time tour, games, prizes, hayrides, and more! It’s a night of scary fun at Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge, Saturday, October 28th, at 7pm… 7 miles South of Eureka Springs on Highway 23-- normal admission prices apply to this event, visitors to the refuge during the day are allowed free entry to the party that evening. Come see the big cats after dark at Turpentine Creek.

Have a Safe and Happy Halloween in Eureka Springs. We will have extra staff all along the Upper Loop to help ensure the safety of pedestrians both small and large. Vehicular traffic access will be limited to local residents and/or those with a lodging or dining destination on the Historic Upper Loop. Officers will be posted at both ends of the Upper Loop, as well as Officers, Reserves, and Volunteers all along the Loop from 5 - 9pm on Halloween evening. We hope to see you on the Historic Upper Loop for a safe, fun, and Happy Halloween night.

The Green Forest High School Sophomore Class is hosting the 5th annual “Trick-or-Trot” on October 21st at 10:00 a.m. The 5K run and 1 mile family fun walk will start on the east side of the football field. Immediately after the race, numerous sponsor donations will be raffled off to all entrants. Costumes encouraged. Entry forms available at and Green Forest office, on the school’s home web page and the day of the event. Cost is $15 per runner for pre-registration and $20 day of race. This includes a t-shirt. Come one, come all to Autumn Fest presented by The Merlin Foundation! On Saturday, November 4th, grab all your little scarecrows and come to the Berryville Community Center for a 5k, booths, games, music, and treats for all! This event is set to begin at 8:30am and will end a couple hours after the race is over. Scarecrow races for the little ones, delicious apple pops, and this is just the beginning!
