David Norris


Funeral service for David Norris will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 1st at Nelson’s Green Forest Chapel. 

David Norris of Berryville departed this life on Sunday, October 26th in his home in Berryville with family by his side at the age of 55 years. 

Visitation for David Norris will be from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday, October 31st at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville.

Kenneth Ray Carlton


Kenneth Ray Calton, 87, of Eureka Springs, AR, formerly of Monett, MO passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Berryville, Arkansas. 

Born on March 2, 1927 in Tom Town, south of Pleasant Ridge, MO (Barry County), Kenneth was the son of the late Elby and Ethel (Potter) Calton. He married Rose Ellen (Long) Calton on October 14, 1951, in Monett, and she preceded him in death.

Ken operated Ken Calton Alignment Service in Monett until his retirement in 1989. He was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church of Monett, Methodist Men, Lions Club, delivered meals for Loaves & Fishes, and was a member of the Missouri National Guard for 18 years. He was an avid fisherman, loved woodworking, singing in the church choir and in barbershop quartets, and gardening.

Survivors include: one son, Brian Calton of Avon, IN; one daughter, Janell Robertson and her husband, Kevin, of Green Forest, AR; one granddaughter, Erin Rose Van Genderen and her husband, Andrew, of Honolulu, HI; three sisters-in-law and several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.He was proceded in death by his wife, Rose Ellen; four brothers, Marion, Calvin, Bob, and Tom Calton; two half sisters, Alberta and Jewell; and one half brother, Myron Ball.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church of Monett with interment in the IOOF Cemetery in Monett, MO.Memorial donations for Ken may be made to the Loaves and Fishes at the First United Methodist Church in Monett, Missouri.Services are under the direction of Bennett Wormington Funeral Home of Monett.

Betty Jean Bean



Funeral service for Betty Jean Bean will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 31st at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville. 

Betty Jean Bean of Berryville departed this life on Tuesday, October 28th with family by her side in Berryville at the age of 81 years. 

Visitation for Betty Jean Bean will be from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, October 30th at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville. 

​Interment will follow the service in the Eureka Springs Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Memorial donations may be made to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Foundation, P.O. Jana Kay Clark


Jana Kay Clark, age 57, of Kingston, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at her home. 

Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM, Friday October 31st, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home in Harrison. 

Funeral service is 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the funeral home. 

Interment will be in the Plumlee Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kingston School Athletic Department, Kingston, AR. This will allow Jana's memory to continue through her grandchildren's extracurricular activities and her support for Kingston School.
